OPSEU Local 110 is the Fanshawe College Faculty Union. We represent 3 Librarians, 21 Counsellors, and approximately 540 Professors, plus approximately 500 Partial-Load Professors employed at Fanshawe College at campuses in London, Woodstock, St. Thomas, and Simcoe, Ontario.
Maintaining parity between the Librarian, Counselor, and Professor classifications has been an important philosophy in collective bargaining.
It’s not easy representing faculty members at multiple locations, however, we’ve instituted local by-laws that allow mileage expense claims for traveling to union meetings.
