Support for Ukraine

Dear Friends,

We have all been horrified by the war crimes perpetrated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin against Ukraine and the brutal and inhumane attacks by Russian military forces on the Ukrainian people, who have shown such incredible courage and resolve to defend their country at great cost. I have spoken with Oksana Delledonna at the London Ukrainian Centre to personally communicate the support of the London and District Labour Council for Ukrainians and to confirm how best to support them.  The following details below are concrete ways that we in the labour movement and the community can support Ukrainians. Oksana stated that volunteers are welcome to assist them from 400pm-800pm on weekdays and Saturdays from 1000am-200pm. I urge affiliates and those who can personally afford to do so, to make medical supplies and/or monetary donations.

The following details here are concrete ways that we in the labour movement and the community can support Ukraninians.  They specify that as of Thursday, March 10th, they will only be accepting medical supplies and monetary donations.  Please act on this urgent call to show Ukrainian-Canadians and the people of Ukraine that the labour movement supports them in their historic fight against tyranny and brutality.
