Students Deserve Full-Time Professors

Read Jonathan Singer’s letter to the Toronto Star regarding the situation faced by part-time college professors and that students need full-time professors.

Jonathan Singer is the President of OPSEU Local 560 at Seneca College. He writes, “The personalized attention that college students need to thrive is impeded when their professors are forced to run to a different part-time job at the end of class, and morale suffers when faculty with over 10 years’ experience are required to reapply for their own jobs every 14 weeks.”
